Delivery Management System for Infor

Full delivery execution for Infor operations
Connect

Infor is built for industries that move physical goods at scale. CloudSuite Distribution manages multi-warehouse inventory, complex pricing, and order processing for wholesale and industrial distributors. CloudSuite Industrial and SyteLine run production planning, shop floor execution, and finished goods shipment for manufacturers. M3 and LN serve complex multi-site manufacturing and distribution environments with specialised workflows for food and beverage, chemicals, automotive, and equipment.

Across all of these environments, Infor handles the order-to-dispatch layer with depth. It generates the bill of lading, selects carriers, calculates freight costs, and marks the shipment as dispatched. That is where Infor’s visibility ends.

Once the truck leaves the dock, there is no mechanism in Infor for tracking where it is, dispatching drivers to optimised routes, sending customers live delivery ETAs, or capturing proof of delivery with photos and digital signatures. Manufacturers and distributors running their own delivery fleets manage these operations entirely outside Infor — through phone calls, paper manifests, and manual POD entry that someone must reconcile against the Infor order record hours or days later.

SuiteFleet closes that gap. It connects to Infor through Infor ION, the standard integration middleware across all modern Infor CloudSuite products, receives shipment data automatically, executes the complete field delivery workflow, and writes delivery outcomes back to the Infor order record on completion — closing the loop that triggers invoicing and keeps your Infor data current.

What Infor Covers — and Where the Visibility Gap Is

Infor’s freight and shipping modules are production-grade. Carrier selection, rate comparison, bill of lading generation, load planning, and freight cost settlement are handled within the system. The moment goods leave the dock on a company truck, the picture changes.

Infor has no tools for managing captive delivery fleets. There is no driver assignment, no route optimisation, no live GPS tracking of vehicles, and no structured proof of delivery that writes back to the order record automatically. Customer service teams cannot check delivery progress in Infor because the data does not exist there. Drivers return with paper delivery receipts that require manual entry to close the order and trigger invoicing. That entry delay — often hours, sometimes days — slows cash flow and introduces reconciliation errors that complicate financial close.

SuiteFleet is the execution layer that eliminates that gap. It picks up from the Infor shipment record and manages everything that happens between the dock door and the customer’s receiving area, then returns the structured data Infor needs to close the transaction cleanly.

What Changes When Infor and SuiteFleet Are Connected

  • Automatic delivery task creation: Shipment records confirmed in Infor create delivery tasks in SuiteFleet automatically via ION, with delivery address, customer reference, line items, and Infor document number mapped across. No manual re-entry.
  • Route optimisation: Delivery stops across the day’s shipments are sequenced by geography, time windows, vehicle capacity, and driver availability. Multi-stop routes built algorithmically, not by dispatcher.
  • Driver mobile app: Drivers receive routes on a dedicated app with turn-by-turn navigation, stop-level delivery instructions, customer contact, and exception handling flows. No access to Infor required by drivers.
  • Live fleet visibility: Dispatchers see every driver’s real-time GPS position, current stop, and dynamic ETA on a single console. Warehouse managers and customer service teams can check delivery progress without phone calls to the driver.
  • Electronic proof of delivery: Photo, digital signature, and OTP captured at each stop. The structured POD record writes back to the Infor order or shipment document automatically on completion, closing the transaction and triggering invoicing without manual entry.
  • Delivery status writeback: Milestones — dispatched, in transit, delivered, failed attempt — update the originating Infor record in real time, keeping CloudSuite data current without manual updates.
  • Customer tracking: A live tracking link is generated per delivery, shareable via SMS or email, giving trade customers the carrier-grade delivery visibility they now expect from own-fleet operations.

Who This Is For

SuiteFleet is the right fit for Infor organisations running their own delivery fleet — manufacturers and distributors whose goods move from their facility to customers using in-house or contracted drivers.

The fit is strongest for:

  • Wholesale and industrial distributors running CloudSuite Distribution who deliver to trade customers on scheduled own-fleet routes
  • Manufacturers on CloudSuite Industrial (SyteLine), M3, or LN who manage direct customer deliveries of finished goods using company vehicles
  • Food and beverage producers running CloudSuite Food & Beverage who operate their own distribution fleet for retail or foodservice customer delivery
  • Equipment and building materials distributors using Infor who run their own trucks for bulky or high-value deliveries where carrier outsourcing is not appropriate

If all your outbound shipments move through third-party carriers managed in Infor’s freight module, SuiteFleet is not the right tool. If you operate a captive delivery fleet and currently manage driver execution through phone calls, paper manifests, or a system disconnected from Infor, SuiteFleet is the execution layer that closes the loop.

Technical Integration Details

  • Integration middleware: Connects to Infor through Infor ION (Intelligent Open Network), the standard integration layer across all modern Infor CloudSuite products. ION handles document exchange, event management, and API connectivity between Infor and SuiteFleet.
  • Supported products: Compatible with CloudSuite Distribution, CloudSuite Industrial (SyteLine), CloudSuite Food & Beverage, Infor M3, and Infor LN. All route through ION for integration.
  • Shipment sync: Delivery tasks created from Infor shipment or order records transmitted via ION Business Object Documents (BODs). Ship-to address, customer data, line items, and document reference mapped to SuiteFleet task fields.
  • Status writeback: Delivery milestones written back to Infor order or shipment records via ION. Document status updated on delivery completion or failed attempt, triggering downstream invoicing and financial workflows.
  • POD sync: Photo, digital signature, OTP, and GPS timestamp transmitted to Infor via ION on stop completion, attaching to the originating order or shipment document as structured delivery confirmation.
  • Tracking link: Customer-facing live tracking URL generated per delivery, available for inclusion in Infor’s automated order confirmation or dispatch notifications.
  • Deployment: Compatible with Infor CloudSuite (multi-tenant cloud) and Infor private cloud environments. On-premise Infor deployments (M3, LN) can integrate via ION or direct API depending on version and configuration.

How It Works

  1. A shipment is confirmed in Infor and marked as dispatched.
  2. SuiteFleet receives the shipment record automatically via Infor ION, creating a delivery task with full order context.
  3. Routes are optimised across the day’s tasks and dispatched to drivers via the SuiteFleet mobile app.
  4. Drivers execute deliveries, capturing proof of delivery at each stop.
  5. Delivery status, POD records, and tracking data write back to the originating Infor document via ION on completion, closing the order and triggering invoicing without manual entry.

SuiteFleet gives Infor manufacturers and distributors the delivery execution visibility that ends the moment the truck leaves the dock — and returns the structured data Infor needs to close every transaction cleanly. Request a demo to see the integration against your Infor environment.
