Oracle Fusion Cloud is one of the most capable logistics suites in enterprise software. Oracle Transportation Management (OTM) orchestrates end-to-end transportation from order planning through freight settlement — mode and carrier selection, load consolidation, shipment execution, exception management, and freight audit. Oracle Fusion Cloud Fleet Management extends that into private fleet operations, optimising how drivers, tractors, and trailers are assigned and utilised across the network. Oracle Warehouse Management handles inbound and outbound execution at the facility level. Together, these products cover strategic and tactical logistics at a depth that few enterprise platforms match.
Where the coverage ends is at the last-mile field execution layer — the point where a driver is on the road completing individual customer deliveries, and your dispatchers and customers need live visibility into what is happening stop by stop.
Oracle’s Transportation Management mobile application supports carrier execution workflows — spot market bidding, shipment actuals capture, and fleet driver communication. It is not designed for a driver completing 20 to 50 last-mile delivery stops per day with turn-by-turn navigation, stop-level proof of delivery capture, and customer-facing live tracking links. That is a fundamentally different execution context, and it requires a purpose-built tool.
SuiteFleet is that tool. It connects to Oracle Fusion Cloud through Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) and Oracle’s REST APIs, receives shipment and order data from Oracle, executes the last-mile field workflow, and writes structured delivery outcomes back to the originating Oracle record automatically — closing the data loop that Oracle’s native tools leave open at the stop level.
What Oracle Fusion Cloud Covers — and Where SuiteFleet Begins
Oracle OTM and Fleet Management are built for the planning and assignment layer: which driver carries which load, in which vehicle, on which route, optimised against cost, capacity, and time constraints. These are powerful strategic capabilities that SuiteFleet does not replace or replicate.
SuiteFleet operates at the execution layer that begins once the plan is confirmed and the vehicle departs:
- Real-time stop-level tracking: Oracle Fleet Management provides fleet visibility at the vehicle and load level. SuiteFleet surfaces stop-by-stop driver progress — which stop is active, which are complete, which have exceptions — on a live dispatch console with dynamic ETAs recalculated as the route progresses.
- Driver mobile app for last-mile execution: SuiteFleet provides drivers with a purpose-built app for multi-stop delivery routes — turn-by-turn navigation, stop-level instructions, customer contact, access codes, and exception handling flows. Designed for high-cadence stop completion, not carrier coordination.
- Stop-level electronic proof of delivery: Photo, digital signature, and OTP captured at each stop with GPS timestamp. The structured POD record writes back to the Oracle shipment or delivery document automatically on stop completion, without manual entry by the driver or dispatcher.
- Customer-facing live tracking: A live tracking link generated per delivery, shareable via SMS or WhatsApp, showing the customer their driver’s real-time position and ETA. Oracle does not provide this natively for own-fleet last-mile deliveries to end customers.
- Exception management in the field: Failed deliveries, access issues, and customer rescheduling requests handled through the SuiteFleet dispatch console and driver app in real time, with outcomes written back to Oracle without manual status updates.
Who This Is For
SuiteFleet is the right fit for Oracle Fusion Cloud organisations running their own delivery fleet for last-mile customer delivery, where the gap between Oracle’s load plan and the customer’s door needs to be closed with field execution data.
The fit is strongest for:
- Large manufacturers and distributors running Oracle Fusion Cloud SCM who manage direct customer deliveries using private fleet vehicles and need stop-level field execution visibility alongside OTM planning
- 3PLs operating Oracle OTM for transportation management who run captive last-mile driver fleets for retail or B2B customer delivery and need execution data at the stop level
- Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP organisations with owned delivery fleets where Oracle Fleet Management handles asset and driver assignment, and SuiteFleet handles what those drivers do in the field
- Organisations mid-implementation of Oracle OTM who need last-mile execution capability operational faster than a full OTM last-mile configuration project allows
If your last-mile delivery is fully managed through Oracle OTM’s carrier network with no private fleet involvement, SuiteFleet is not the right addition. If you operate private fleet drivers and currently manage their last-mile field execution through phone calls, paper POD, or a disconnected tool, SuiteFleet closes the data gap between Oracle’s planning layer and the customer’s door.
Technical Integration Details
- Integration middleware: Connects to Oracle Fusion Cloud through Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), Oracle’s standard integration platform across all Fusion Cloud products. OIC handles REST API orchestration, event subscriptions, and data transformation between Oracle and SuiteFleet.
- Authentication: OAuth 2.0 via Oracle Identity Cloud Service (IDCS) for secure service account access. Scoped permissions — no broad admin access required.
- Shipment sync: Delivery tasks created from Oracle Fusion Cloud shipment releases or sales order fulfilment records via OIC integration. Ship-to address, customer data, order reference, and line items mapped to SuiteFleet task fields.
- Status writeback: Delivery milestones — dispatched, in transit, delivered, failed attempt — written back to the Oracle shipment or delivery record via OIC. Configurable per milestone and per Oracle document type.
- POD sync: Photo, digital signature, OTP, and GPS timestamp transmitted to Oracle via OIC on stop completion, attaching to the originating shipment or sales order fulfilment record as structured delivery confirmation.
- Oracle OTM compatibility: Connects to Oracle Transportation Management Cloud (OTM) shipment and order records via OTM’s XML/REST integration interfaces and OIC orchestration layer.
- Oracle ERP compatibility: Also connects to Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP (Order Management, Supply Chain Management) for organisations where delivery tasks originate from sales orders rather than OTM shipment records.
- Tracking link: Customer-facing live tracking URL available for inclusion in Oracle’s automated order fulfilment notifications or sent directly via SuiteFleet’s messaging layer.
How It Works
- A shipment is planned and confirmed in Oracle OTM or a sales order is released in Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP.
- SuiteFleet receives the shipment or order data automatically via Oracle Integration Cloud, creating delivery tasks with full Oracle order context.
- Routes are optimised across the day’s tasks and dispatched to drivers via the SuiteFleet mobile app.
- Drivers execute deliveries, capturing proof of delivery at each stop.
- Delivery status, POD records, and tracking data write back to the originating Oracle record via OIC on completion.
SuiteFleet extends Oracle Fusion Cloud’s logistics capability into the last mile — delivering the stop-level field execution data and customer visibility that Oracle’s planning layer does not generate natively. Request a demo to see the integration against your Oracle Fusion Cloud environment.
